Man at Work

Despite the fact that I noted that I would be scarce for the first few months of the year, I still feel that I should explain why I haven’t posted much as of late, and why I haven’t gotten around to all of your pages. Right now, I’m in a time/focus crunch that begins with preparing for the next year, and making my youngest nephew eat his vegetables. I’ll be setting up a new series soon. I just wanted you to know that I haven’t forgotten anyone, and I’m not going off the air.

Truth is, the time I would normally spend blogging, I’ve been using to produce new episodes of The Golden Ganesh. Due to the talents of some real actors, who came this way via Craigslist, by the end of this week we’ll have rough cuts of episodes one through eight, twelve and fifteen. The only ones that we’ll have left to do are the ones featuring Dee.

We have an actress doing the Dee role. Preliminary test recordings are encouraging, since she has a good ear for accents. As soon as she’s gotten everything in, I’ll let you know.

Sounds like you are keeping busy doing fun things. Thanks for the update.

I know it's been a while since I commented...seems sometimes life gets in the way...but I've thought of you a few times with your awesome posts on crime etc.

Don't go away for too long!

    X. Dell:

After finishing a three-part series at my own blog, I have great respect for the effort you take with your own multi-part series. Just doing the research and checking sources eats up a lot of time. Then picking out the info you need and somehow putting it all together into a series of concise, coherent posts - hey, it ain't easy.

So don't criticize yourself for not posting that often. Sure, anyone can hack out some stuff, but you don't and your readers appreciate that.

As for not stopping by my blog for a while, I understand. It's not like my posts have expiration dates. (Hey, there's a thought...)

When people disappear for a little while (as long as I know they are okay) I am happy that they are enjoying themselves in the 'real' world. Only I miss them.

Crushed, that's kind of hard to say. The actress who has taken on the Dee role is quite busy. I'm hoping I can get her to start turning things in soon.

Lady Prism, hi. Thanks for the kind words, but that's really not up for me to say.

Aggie, Busy is better than not busy.

Sj, I'll be back on the air as soon as I can get some things straightened out.

Foam, it is life with children. I'm wondering how parents cope with this stuff.

Dale, I'll welcome your audience, as well as your audience. Before releasing it to the world, I intend to give the Ganesh a sendup, make it more like an event.

Candy, many women think of me when they think of crime. I'm still here in the ether. When I get back to blogging, I'll drop by.

Charles, the Ganesh is exciting. The other things taking up my time? Not so much. But they are important.

John, when I go through the editing process I become quite aware of how much Jenny plays a role in this. I'm hoping she likes what she hears in the final analysis.

Ray, an expiration date would be a thought. You could charge people to go through your archives.

Behind Blue Eyes, I'm not enjoying myself so much as I'm fulfilling obligations. Right now I miss you guys, so I have incentive to come back when I can.

Hey, K9, your voice has been on my mind a lot, lately. We'll be back soon. Thanks for stopping by.

Libby, real life's kicking me where it hurts, but important things crop up. The Ganesh is a good thing to do, though, and I hope you and everyone else enjoys it when it finally gets done.

No probs there Xdell-I know exactly what you mean -altho for totally different reasons -with me its health-exhaustion mainly -just take your time with things and enjoy life -I have a tremendous amount of catching up to do also -but am just taking it day by day-best to you as always!

SJ, I'm not surprised at the punny response that you Riga. I'm Oslo not surprised that Utrecht these types of responses from me.

Helene, thanks for stopping by. I'm going to see what I can do to honor your request. I'll be posting mroe news on the Ganesh shortly.

Monique, it has. I can only hope that it's worth it. I'm hoping everyone will enjoy the results.

Devin, it's not really a matter of exhaustion, but more so one of constant interruption. Doing academic research and writing allowed me to arrange my time so that I could concentrate on one thing, and then go onto the other. My current schedule is really tied to adherence to other people's schedules, leaving me little time for myself, let alone new writing.

Bejibopper, I hope you enjoy them.

Hey dude. Just letting you know that I still stop by and read your blog on a pretty regular basis. Keep it up!

And if the Ganesh thing ever happens, I'd be more than willing to contribute to other projects you may have.

Foam, yeah I'm still around. I'll be posting stuff and getting back into things. I haven't said all I've wanted to, yet.

Rayke, glad to hear it. I don't want to jinx anything, but the Ganesh looks like it might be on its way to completion (see next post).
