JFK, Oliver Stone’s 1991 docudrama, is a decent, although flawed, primer on President John Kennedy’s assassination. While some critics harped on its use of made-up characters, the fictionalization of real people, and the omission of other important witnesses, JFK manages to get a good number of the major players.
Below are fifteen photographs of real persons depicted in JFK. Can you match the people in these photos with both their names and the actors who played them?
Good luck.

hell no. i can't match faces to names. where is my husband when i need him.
ReplyDeletehowever, i did watch the movie but it's been years. has it really been that long when it came out? gee..
I'm gonna pretend I got a couple of these right. I will only say in my defense that I'm not very good with name recognition.
ReplyDeleteFoam, now that you put it that way, yeah. It's been almost twenty years now.
ReplyDeleteCharles, I wonder what Freud would say about that:-)
not a chance. didn't see the movie, not good on actors...but john candy looked kinda like arnold gordon.
ReplyDeleteThat flick sort of marked the beginning of Oliver Stone going all psychedelic on us. I don't mind it but it marked a change in his directing style. Yes he took liberties but from a film standpoint, it's well crafted.
ReplyDeleteWell, Benjibopper, I didn't say you couldn't use pictures from the other posts. Silly me.
ReplyDeleteRicardo, I think a lot of people see it as a well crafted flick, it's just that they argue with its content.
One word. No.
ReplyDeleteMonique, one word: okay.
ReplyDeleteWow! This place has changed, like it! Reciprocation--It's all good!
ReplyDeleteBeens so long since I've been wandering around the blogging world, time for me to catch up on my reading.
Monique, you're welcome.
ReplyDeleteSunny, so good to see you. I'm wondering: have you checked out scholarships, or TAs? There might be a few available to you.
Great quiz!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for dropping by my blog...after the stress of the past month its been so good to see your friendly face...in a manner of speaking.
I really liked JFK. I also believe this was a great move on Kevin Bacons part to stand back from fighting for leading man roles and taking these kinds of risky character studies and roles. Also, this movie aided in the pop culture phenomemon of "6 degrees" because this was one of the ensemble movies that put Bacon into such a position to link up with so many other actors.
Candy, for years I've been trying to break the Oracle of Bacon, but JFK, as you say, links him up with so many people.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been online much, this year. In fact, if you look at my posting schedule, I haven't even spent that much time on my own site, let alone anyone else's. But I wanted to visit all my cyberfriends to let them know that I think of them. What you and Stagg have gone through recently is difficult, and I wish I could lend more support. But you two seem to be managing as well as anyone can under the circumstances.
